To enable Mozc, open ibus-setup and add Japanese > Mozc
to the Input Method list.

For an X11 session that does not configure IBus automatically,
set the following environment variables before starting applications:

export GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus
export QT_IM_MODULE=ibus
export XMODIFIERS=@im=ibus

For example, place these settings in ~/.xinitrc before the command
that starts your desktop or window manager.

If your desktop does not start IBus automatically, also run:

Do not start a second IBus daemon if your desktop already manages it.
For Wayland sessions, use your desktop's input method configuration.

The Mozc server starts automatically when needed.
